Islandwood Lodge RFH and Solar DHW System - The system design for the Lodge solar DHW system took advantage of Viessmann’s solar design services in Waterloo, Ont., to provide the optimum system to supplement the large domestic hot water load. Mr. Rob Waters, Viessmann’s solar engineer, made the process painless, despite the numerous revisions of the mechanical plan. The system uses an array of 120 tubes (Vitosol 300T Vacuum tubes) for maximum efficiency in the cloudy NW climate. The flow rate design of 375gpm uses 4 rooftop arrays, each having 30 tubes. The distribution piping is type “L” copper from the roof to the Lodge mechanical room.

North Capitol Hill Solar - At Advanced Radiant Technology, we are committed to environmentally-friendly manufacturing processes and green heating solutions. Our solar heating products are the result of more than 30 years of experience. More than 2 million Viessmann solar collectors have been installed in Germany alone. With a Viessmann solar system you are making an investment for the future. Not only because you are preserving valuable fossil fuels and reducing emissions, but also because Viessmann solar collectors, like all of our products, are highly efficient, long-lasting and of quality construction.

Melhaff Project - The Melhaff Project is a 4200 SF residence built in Renton, WA. and constructed with SIPS panels (structural insulated panels) that have an R-40 value. The highly insulated home has a heat loss of 22K BTu's. The system uses a Viessmann Vitodens 200 modulating boiler with an 80g Viessmann VitoCell 100 DHW tank. The home has radiant heating throughout all three floors, using Uponor ½" hePEX tubing which was embedded in concrete or structural lightweight concrete, then stained and polished. ART also installed the 5 ton air conditioning system and ventilation fans.

The Brossmann Renovation - The boiler system we replaced had failed prematurely, due to improper installation. The owners were so pleased with the results, they had us replace all of the heating circuits in the home and install several zones of radiant floor heating with Runtal wall panel radiators and Towel Bar Warmers. . The original system used copper fin-tube baseboard.

The Meeker Mansion - The Meeker Mansion is located in Puyallup, WA. It was the home of Ezra Meeker, an early settler to the Northwest, who popularized the Oregon Trail and was the author of many books, including The Old Oregon Trail.
